23rd Birthday Campaign
Join us in celebrating Sam's 23rd Birthday!
March is a very special month for us at Sam's Fans. March 1st is music therapy day and March 15th is Sam's Birthday! To celebrate this month we are inviting you to become part of our monthly giving program, Bring the Joy. We hope to welcome 15 new members to this program giving $23 a month. This could fund an additional 4 or 5 hours of therapy per month for seriously ill children and their families!
Bring the Joy is a monthly giving program with 100% of every dollar going directly toward music and art therapy programs for seriously ill children. You’re making a difference, every single month. Learn more about this program here or sign up below.
Introducing: Dr. Humphrey
This month we also want to introduce you to Dr. Humphrey. Lisa M. Humphrey, MD, is the Director of Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She participates in inpatient consultative palliative care, outpatient palliative care management and home-based palliative care and hospice. Lisa is also the Hospice and Palliative Medicine (HPM) Fellowship Program Director at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
She is a strong proponent of the creative arts therapists in palliative care. Check out these videos as we introduce you to what is palliative care, what is the work that Dr. Humphrey does, and how creative arts therapies are a very important part of this work.
